ABOUT US

We are a team of diverse women and feminists, with a basis in holistic perspectives, who accompany individuals, organizations, networks, social movements, institutions and collectives who accompany other people. We are interested in producing complex knowledge grounded in Holistic Feminism, to explore and understand learned cultural patterns and contribute to the collective healing of wounds. Our point of departure is our understanding of the body as an interconnected whole encompassing physical, emotional, energetic, psychological, sexual, spiritual and socio-historical elements. We are interested in contributing to the regeneration of damaged social fabrics, though training and experiential processes, and leading personal accompaniment, research and training of trainers processes.

We accompany women and people of all gender identities, all peoples and from all over the globe who are looking to heal their emotional wounds, specifically when this personal healing is tied to their commitment to social transformation. We are an organization that believes in self-sustainability as a means of guaranteeing our political autonomy.

WE PROPOSE:
To contribute to personal, relational and social change from a consciousness of the cultural patterns which have hurt us and which we continue to reproduce, to deconstruct our oppressions and/or internalized privileges and to contribute to the creation of an emotional culture based on ‘Good Treatment,’ that interconnects the following: the individual with the collective; the affective-loving with the personal as political; the corporeal with the sexual and spiritual; the subjective with historical memory, the organizational with the interpersonal.

WE DESIRE:
To continue charting an open path towards a holistic feminist healing and transpersonal thinking as a contribution to the creation of an emotional culture for peace, from new forms of coexistence for current and furute generations.

OUR PRINCIPALS:

● Listening-dialogue, mutual respect, authenticity, empathy
● Holistic vision, intersectionality, interdisciplinarity, complexity, diversity
● The personal is political, love, self-observation
● Autonomy, self-regulation and Good Treatment
● Transgressing the system

A BRIEF HISTORY:

The organisation developed out of a personal dream, but our current form is the result of an intense and sustained collective effort in which diverse women have participated, throughout the different moments of Q’anil’s birth, growth and organizational maturity. We began by identifying what the initial processes for providing emotional accompaniment to groups might look like by adapting the Reencounter Therapy (TR) methodology to the Guatemalan context; our training process emerged gradually as a result of a conceptual-experiential methodology that is unique to us. Finally, research is at the heart all the work we do. Thus, we became a Center for Training, Healing and Transpersonal Research.

We decided, from the outset, that communication would be another pillar of our activities. Initially, this involved keeping records from all the activities we undertook; but communication eventually became a part of our identity: a way of feeling, thinking and expressing the languages we have chosen to dialogue in. Now, when we talk about communications we are referring to the processes that determine our way of acting and coordinating, both inside and outside our organization.

Initially we assumed that the main source of our sustainability would be determined by our particular forms of organizational and economic management; but as we grew we realized that it was the integration of ethical, political-cultural, organizational, communicational and economic aspects that would actually give meaning to our search for sustainability.

In 2017 that we began a Holistic Management Process based on an Alternative Communication methodology, developing a collective organizational diagnostic which, over a year and a half, allowed us to deepen our understanding of who we are and the evolution of our vision for the type of organizational space we could begin to build.

This presentation has been made possible, as a result of the in-depth reflection which allowed us to understand how we organized ourselves in order to intervene in reality. This is how we arrived at the descriptions of the following programs.
