ABOUT US

We are a team of diverse women and feminists, with a basis in holistic perspectives, who accompany individuals, organizations, networks, social movements, institutions and collectives who accompany other people. We are interested in producing complex knowledge grounded in Holistic Feminism, to explore and understand learned cultural patterns and contribute to the collective healing of wounds. Our point of departure is our understanding of the body as an interconnected whole encompassing physical, emotional, energetic, psychological, sexual, spiritual and socio-historical elements. We are interested in contributing to the regeneration of damaged social fabrics, though training and experiential processes, and leading personal accompaniment, research and training of trainers processes.

Virtual Course in Bodies Eroticisms and Sexualities

GENERAL AIM:
To develop a virtual course on Bodies, Eroticisms and Sexualities as a synthesis of the conceptual and experiential proposal delivered through Q’anil’s Diploma course of the same name. This new virtual process opens up paths for exchanging feminist knowledge and experiences, employing conceptual, body work, and emotional aspects.

Diploma in Racialised Bodies and Sexualities

GENERAL AIM:
Employing a multidisciplinary and complex feminist training process situated in Guatemala, we want to reflect, challenge ourselves and understand collectively, the role that bodies and sexualities have played in the reproduction and internalization of racism and the intersections with sexism, coloniality, the ladino and mestizo identities.

Diploma For Accompanying Survivors Of Sexual Violence

GENERAL AIM:
This diploma aims to contribute to the generation of awareness among participants, about the possibilities for accompanying the transition from victims to survivors, in contexts where it is indispensable to initiate journeys towards healing wounds and recognizing that it is possible to overcome pain and grief.

Documentation Center and Feminist Archive For Historical Memory Program (CEDOC) “Julia Esquivel”

The Julia Esquivel Documentation Center was established in 2012. From the beginning, its intention was to provide a reference source and reading books for those who participate in the courses and diplomas offered by Q’anil. We currently have a Library and Newspaper Archive in which we have classified more than 1,500 books relating to Anthropology, Literature, Transpersonal Thought, Psychology, Mayan Cosmovision, Memory, Sexualities, Feminisms and Feminism in Guatemala, among others.

Additionally, there are materials from the Newspaper Archive and the Feminist Archive of Historical Memory which capture all that Q’anil has produced since its foundation as well as documents from Central American feminist movements dating back to 1970.
